Amidst all the negativity surrounding the "fraud" issues in June, we are ready to make July an awesome month for our members!

The Forum has been a little quiet lately and we are going to change that. In fact, we want the Forum to be a place where you visit frequently and enjoy going to on a daily basis.

I have great ideas in mind and hopefully we find the right person to be our Global Moderator to bring along ideas of their own and help make Disco Dollars an even greater place to be.

There will be more contests, more social interaction, more polls, and more ways for you to make extra money.

Update on Payments

All Paypal payments for May have been sent out to all those who made a withdraw.

All members who made a withdraw by check have been sent out their payments today.

Those who made a withdraw by gift card or ViSA should receive them within in the next couple business days. They are being ordered today.

Thank you for your patience in this payment ordeal. This has definitely been an unexpected month and I sincerely appreciate all of you for understanding and sticking with Disco Dollars!

Promo Code Party

Wow, what an eventful day here at Disco Dollars! Today was the kickoff of our first Promo Code Party. Promo codes were hidden randomly throughout the site and for every five offers members completed they received one promo code. Let me tell you, it was a big hit! So, perhaps we will bring it back?

Pre-paids

I understand that when you do a trial you are putting your information out there and you want to protect your bank account just in case the company charges you and runs. This is completely understandable and I know people who have had this horrible things happen to them by using their regular bank account.

But, I also know people who are using the pre-paids irresponsibly. For those who are doing so, if you continue to do so you will ruin it for everyone.

Pre-paids WILL continue to be accepted on Disco Dollars as long as people use them responsibly.

Disco Dollars Account Rules

With the amount of fraud happening, appropriate measures are being put into place. Please read TOS if you have any questions.

If you have more than 3 reversals on your account, you are subject to immediate account deletion, forfeiting all earnings. The reasoning behind this is if you have at least three reversals it makes it look as if you are intentionally committing fraud. This rule is applied especially to trial offers. Please only sign up for trials that you are genuinely interested in.

I am on the fence as far as pre-paid cards go. I understand that when you do a trial you are putting your information out there and you want to protect your bank account just in case the company charges you and runs. This is understandable and I know people who have had this happen to them. But, I also know people who are using the pre-paids irresponsibly and of course, ruining it for everyone else.

I am trying very hard to weed out the offers that aren't from reputable companies. I have added a form for you to fill out to share your experience with problem offers. I do plan on adding an additional form for offers that you have had a good experience with. The problem offers will be removed from the site as deemed necessary. The good offers will remain and comments will be posted on the Forum.

The remainder of the payments will be sent out sometime this week, once advertisers pay me for the legit leads.

Payments

I have done quite a few payments already, however, I wanted you all to know that I am still waiting to be paid by networks. A couple of them said the end of the month I should be paid, stating, "no later than June 30th". So, I am hoping to have you all paid SOON!

Again, unverified accounts will be denied June 25th.

Thank you for being patient! As we get this fraud situation ironed out, I am hoping to have a more clear payment schedule for you all!

Problems with crediting?

As I have been taking down offers and adding new ones, I am wanting to know from you what offers have you found are NOT crediting for you? I want to see if I see a pattern here with certain offers and remove those offers. I don't think it is fair for you to be wasting your time doing offers that seem not to be crediting for you.

I will set up a form on Disco you can fill out as well. Give me up to 48 hours at the latest to get that form up. In the meantime, send me an email to let me know what offers you have been having troubles with.

Our Verification and other Updates

There will be no additional measures added to the verification procedure. We will still keep the phone verification, for that seems to be working very well so far.

There are still a large amount of members not verified and I want to just make sure that everyone knows that you have to be verified before you get paid. Once you are verified you are good to go! Deadline for verification is June 25th of this month, if you did make a withdrawal.

Offers are still being moved around and added and taken down. I appreciate your patience with this.

Happy Father's Day to all the groovy papas out there! Hope you are enjoying your special day! We are doing some grilling outside and hanging out today. Gotta love the summertime!

Reversals and GPT sites

As most of you have noticed there are numerous reversals that have incurred on your account. We should have these finished up entirely by early next week. We are still waiting on a few reports from a few other networks. I know it isn't cool at all, but unfortunately we have been hit by frauders who have made this horrible affect on everyone.

I also wanted to stress something. There have been some other site owners taking advantage of this unfortunate situation by bashing other sites and the way they are run. I in no way will partake in that. I feel that we are all in this together and need to help each other out, rather than trying to take each other down. You never will hear me talk negatively about another site and the way they operate. Everyone deals with situations differently. It is interesting how situations like this bring out the greed and selfishness in people. It is unfortunate, however, I firmly believe that what goes around comes around.

Many changes will be put into place and you will be made aware of these changes when they are to be implemented. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to let me know!

I value each and every one of you and thank you for your patience in this whole ordeal!

Payments for May

There have come about several changes as many of you already know regarding the GPT industry. Many sites are enforcing stricter policies when it comes to fighting fraud and protecting our businesses, our honest members, and the industry. Disco Dollars plans on being no different.

I know many of you are concerned about payments and if you will receive them on time. Some payments have already been sent out to some members who have been verified, who have not had reversals on their accounts, and those who have submitted additional information for verification.
I do want you all to know that I am doing my best to get payments out to you for the work you have done in May. It is taking some time due to reversals coming in from advertisers and thus accounts must be adjusted accordingly. (Reversals are duplicate offer completions, invalid information, or fraudulent leads.)

However, I do ask that you please be patient during this time. There are a few networks that are waiting to pay until they get everything straightened out with the advertisers. And so that leaves us no choice but to wait until we get paid from them to in turn, pay you!

I know it is an unfortunate series of events, however, we will get through this. It will be a little rough, but we will stop these frauders before they ruin it for everyone!

We will definitely keep you up-to-date with any additional information we find out! So, sit tight.

Good News and Bad News

To those of you who have been honest in completing offers and so forth, I sincerely apologize in advance.

As you know, the rules of the GPT world are simple and have been repeated time and time again and can be seen on nearly every GPT site out there. Fraud is unacceptable.

Today we have caught several users who have intentionally been committing fraud. And with that being said, we have a lot of work ahead of us.

There is good news and bad news to all of this.

The bad news:

Fraud has gotten so bad to the point that advertisers are pulling some of the really awesome offers and trials. So, unfortunately you will notice a decrease in offers within the next few days or so.
Advertisers get tired of repeated signups, quick cancellations, and bogus information.
So, I ask for your patience in this. There might be a bit of a mess as far as categorization goes with offers, but I assure you we will do our best to get everything in order as quickly as humanly possible.
I know it is frustrating for many of you who are not fans of these verification procedures, however, as you can see we are serious about this and only want to protect our site, ourselves, and our honest members.

The good news:

We are weeding out the frauds. Plain and simple. They won't be back. And, for those who remain, you will be rewarded!

Again, we ask for your patience in this and we will definitely take care of our honest and true cool cats!

New Payout Policy

June 10, 2007

*Starting in July, Disco Dollars will be paying out twice a month. How cool is that?

*Payouts will be the 15th of the month and the last day of the month.

*Withdraw amount will remain at $20.

*Withdraws will need to be made a DAY before the payout date. For example, to be paid the 15th, you must withdraw by the 14th at 12:01 AM to be paid on the 15th. To be paid on the last day of the month, you must withdraw the day before at 12:01 AM. You may withdraw as many times as you wish, however, if you don't make it in time for the deadline of payout, you will be eligible for the next payout date (in 2 weeks).

*Emails will be sent out to remind you to withdraw, in case you do forget.

*We still will be paying out members on the 25th of June for May earnings. However then you can start withdrawing after that to be paid again on the 15th of July for June earnings.

Each member will be called with the phone number that is on file in the member profile. You will receive a PIN number which you will have to enter into the form for authentication. Once you are verified, you are all set. You will only need to have your account verified once.
