1980 - Ex-Sex Pistols front man Johnny Lydon was arrested in Dublin for his involvement in a barroom brawl.
1983 - Barry Manilow plays a concert for charity at the Royal Albert Hall in London. The show was attended by Prince Charles and Princess Diana.
1991 - Elizabeth Taylor married Larry Fortensky. The ceremony was held at Michael Jackson's estate near Los Angeles, CA. It was Taylor's 8th marriage and Fortensky's 3rd.
1992 - Prince and the New Power Generation released the "Diamonds and Pearls" home video.
1994 - Glenn Frey underwent colon surgery.
1995 - "Grind" was released by Alice in Chains as their first track from "Alice in Chains."
1996 - Faith Hill and Tim McGraw were married.
1998 - Alabama received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
